The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially concluded the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in view of the 2025. Preparations for the Anambra 2025 Elections are Underway

Persons With Disabilities are HIGHLY encouraged to participate in this ongoing CVR and ensure your voice counts in Anambra 2025.

PWDs have a right to participate fully in our democracy and making your mark begins with registering to vote.

On Friday, August 1st, TAF Africa, supported by the EU-SDGN II programme, hosted PWD Legislative Interns who have been interning at the Nigerian National Assembly for the last three months. Omowunmi, Angelina, Ugben, ) were deployed to House Committees on Disabilities and Poverty Alleviation, Budget and National Planning, Humanitarian Services and Development, Health Social Development, Education, Transporation, Works and Housing, Communication and Technology, Labour and Employment, and Justice. The session provided an overview on the experiences of the legislative interns and included a debriefing session which gave the interns an opportunity to present their own reflections that focused on the Key Successes, Challenges encountered, Lessons learned, and Recommendations on the program. Advocacy Engagement to the Speaker, House of Representatives, on Inclusive Media Representation for Deaf Persons in the Nigerian National Assembly. Despite the successful deployment of trained professional sign language interpreters to the National Assembly under our EU SDGN project, the reality remains that their presence and contributions are routinely excluded from official media coverage, effectively silencing the deaf community’s access to legislative proceedings, which this advocacy visit seeks to address This was important dialogue about building a more inclusive democracy!
