Announcing the Release of TAF Disability Hub

On November 8, 2025, TAF Africa officially released v1.1 of the TAF Disability Hub on android, iOS, and web. 

Our data clerks were fully set and actively received real-time reports from TAF Africa’s trained observers deployed across polling units with the highest number of voters with disabilities in Anambra State.

Through the PWD Election Hub, we are tracking accessibility, assistive tools, and the overall voting experience of persons with disabilities to ensure a disability-inclusive and accountable electoral process.

TAF Africa Completes Training of Election Observers Across Nnewi, Onitsha, and Awka for Anambra 2025 Gubers

In preparation for the upcoming Anambra 2025 Gubernatorial Elections, TAF Africa completes training of  150 Election Observers across Nnewi, Onitsha, and Awka. In Nnewi, Anambra South, we kicked off the Training of our Election Observers ahead of the November 8 Anambra Governorship Election under the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria II Programme. The journey towards a more inclusive Anambra 2025 Governorship Election continued in Onitsha, as we successfully trained the second batch of election observers drawn from local governments under the Anambra North Senatorial District. Finally, in Awka, we successfully concluded the third and final batch of our election observers’ training for participants drawn from local governments under the Anambra Central Senatorial District. These training sessions brought together our observers from Local Government Areas under Anambra’s Three Senatorial Zones, who were equipped with practical knowledge on: Using the TAF Disability Hub App for real-time observation and reporting Observer roles and ethical conduct Personal security and safety during election duty Effective use of the observer’s checklist As we move closer to the Anambra November 8 Governorship Election, TAF Africa stands ready to ensure that the voices of persons with disabilities are seen, heard, and counted.

TAF Africa Team Pays Advocacy Visit to INEC Headquarters

In preparation for the November 8, 2025, Anambra Governorship Election, TAF Africa, led by our CEO/ Founder Amb. Jake Epelle paid an advocacy visit to INEC Nigeria headquarters to secure national support for the deployment of sign language interpreters at polling units with high numbers of deaf voters. The initiative, supported under the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria II Programme, aims to ensure deaf voters are not left behind due to communication barriers during the election. INEC National Commissioner, Prof. Kunle Ajayi, welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Acting INEC Chairman and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to inclusive elections. Amb. Epelle described the effort as a national model for accessible democracy, noting that inclusion must move from principle to practice. This collaboration marks a new milestone in making Nigeria’s electoral process truly inclusive.

Able2Vote: In Anambra, Training of Sign Language Interpreters for Inclusive Elections

Last week, TAF Africa concluded a two-day Training of Sign Language Interpreters for Inclusive Elections! With support from the European Union in Nigeria through its European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria Programme, and in partnership with INEC Nigeria, this training brings together members of the Association of Sign Language Interpreters of Nigeria (ASLIN), Anambra State Chapter. This initiative aims to equip interpreters with the knowledge and skills to provide effective sign language support at polling units with a high number of deaf voters during the upcoming November 8 Governorship Election in Anambra state. This pilot intervention marks a major step toward strengthening inclusive, accessible, and participatory elections in Nigeria.
