We shared the Word of God, prayed together, and had meaningful conversations on future collaboration in inclusive development—especially in advancing the rights and dignity of the most vulnerable in our society.
On Tuesday, February 4th, 2026, we commenced a 2-day capacity building for journalists and other stakeholders in Delta state on the 2018 Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act. Journalists, Disability Leaders, and Key Stakeholders engaged beyond headlines to examine rights-based reporting, accountability, and the power of the media to drive real social change.This capacity building involved an intensive session on leveraging the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act for Accurate and Evidence-Based Disability Reporting as well as hands-on group work involving drafting real FOI requests targeted at disability inclusion data, budgets, policies, and implementation records.
What a way to start the Year!Yesterday, our entire team spent a full day in a powerful training session with the incredible facilitators from the Institute of National Transformation, led by Professor Vincent Anigbogu, Chairman of TAF Africa, and Peggy Anigbogu, Head of Administration at the Institute for National Transformation.We immersed ourselves in cultivating an elite mindset to achieve our ambitious goals for the year, while also learning strategies to balance excellence with a healthy life balance. It was a day of inspiration, connection, and reflection, and we are ready to make this our most amazing year yet! A huge thank you to our facilitators for their timeless wisdom!
Yesterday, we officially unveiled the “Access to Health Initiative for Persons with Disabilities” through the “Koyo Navigate App”- an AI-powered digital healthcare platform created to expand access to quality healthcare for all Nigerians.Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, represented by Hon. Joshua Audu Gana, pledged to support this effort by offering monthly subscription coverage to all Nigerians with disabilities for the next five years.Beneficiaries will have access to virtual doctor-supervised consultations, AI-driven health support, mental wellness guidance, and specialist dermatology services, particularly vital for persons with albinism who face a high risk of skin-related conditions. This partnership reflects our commitment to disability inclusion, Koyo Healthtech’s drive for digital health innovation, and the National Assembly Resource Centre’s role in strengthening policy backing and national visibility for inclusive healthcare in Nigeria.
