
Reflection Session of the TAF Africa Legislative Internship Programme supported by EU-SDGN II
On Friday, August 1st, TAF Africa, supported by the EU-SDGN II programme, hosted PWD Legislative Interns who have been interning at the Nigerian National Assembly for the last three months. The interns (Barrister Festus Ikechukwu Okpeh, Barrister Rex Erameh, Eunice Nwokocha, Shamsiyyah Umar, Honorable Aduku Emmanuel, Alhassan Hussaini, Aver Akighir, Ogundare B. Omowunmi, Angelina, Ugben, ) were deployed to House Committees on Disabilities and Poverty Alleviation, Budget and National Planning, Humanitarian Services and Development, Health Social Development, Education, Transporation, Works and Housing, Communication and Technology, Labour and Employment, and Justice. The session provided an overview on the experiences of the legislative interns and included a debriefing session which gave the interns an opportunity to present their own reflections that focused on the Key Successes, Challenges encountered, Lessons learned, and Recommendations on the program.
