TAF AFRICA EMBARKED ON ACCESSIBILITY AUDIT ON SOME PUBLIC BUILDINGS IN BAYELSA STATE

As part of our ongoing effort to entrench disability mainstreaming into all aspects of societal activities, 
@TAF_Africa  with support from @DFID_UK  through @SituationRoomNg  commenced a 3-day accessibility audit of 6 public facilities in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. It should be recalled that the 5year transitionary period for public facilities to be made accessible for the community of persons with disabilities as provided in the disability act came to an end in January 2024.
Recommendations from this accessibility audit exercise by will help these public facilities modify their buildings to better accommodate persons with disabilities.

D-RAPID: 2 Day Capacity Building Training For Journalists on Disability Discrimination (Prohibition) Act in Delta State

On Tuesday, February 4th, 2026, we commenced a 2-day capacity building for journalists and other stakeholders in Delta state on the 2018 Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act.
