In Nnewi, Anambra South, we kicked off the Training of our Election Observers ahead of the November 8 Anambra Governorship Election under the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria II Programme. The journey towards a more inclusive Anambra 2025 Governorship Election continued in Onitsha, as we successfully trained the second batch of election observers drawn from local governments under the Anambra North Senatorial District. Finally, in Awka, we successfully concluded the third and final batch of our election observers’ training for participants drawn from local governments under the Anambra Central Senatorial District. These training sessions brought together our observers from Local Government Areas under Anambra’s Three Senatorial Zones, who were equipped with practical knowledge on: Using the TAF Disability Hub App for real-time observation and reporting Observer roles and ethical conduct Personal security and safety during election duty Effective use of the observer’s checklist As we move closer to the Anambra November 8 Governorship Election, TAF Africa stands ready to ensure that the voices of persons with disabilities are seen, heard, and counted.
